Carers Space Notts Planning Group
The Carers Space Notts Planning Group brings together unpaid carers, professionals and partner organisations to help shape the future of Carers Space Notts.
Together, we look at what carers are telling us, identify what's most important, and discuss how services and organisations can respond. Our aim is to make sure carers' voices are heard and lead to meaningful improvements across health and social care.
The group is informal and welcoming. You don't need any previous experience or specialist knowledge, just your own experiences, ideas and willingness to take part. Whether you choose to contribute regularly or simply listen and share your views occasionally, every contribution is valued.

Carers Space Notts exists because we believe carers should have opportunities to be listened to, influence decisions and work together with organisations to improve services. The Planning Group plays an important role in making that happen and reflects the wider ambition of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Joint Carers Strategy to ensure carers are recognised as partners, have a voice and are involved in designing and improving support.

How the Planning Group works
- The Planning Group have regular monthly meetings online via Microsoft Teams on the 3rd Thursday of every month (10:00-11:30am).
- This meeting is one opportunity to participate, but it is not required to attend meetings
- Planning Group members share meeting summaries for the wider group, and all members are invited to contribute via email or phone.
